The Safety Expo would not be successful without the support of the fabulous volunteers who help with the event each year. There are a variety of volunteer positions that need to be filled for the 2013 event. Click on the title of the position to be taken to a description of the responsibilities associated with each role.
2 volunteers will be stationed at the Information Desk located inside the west doors of the Municipal Building (Macleod Trail entance) at all times. They will provide general information to teachers, distribution of resource materials, lost and found reception, lost children reception and forms.
These volunteers assist with set-up duties prior to students arriving , help coordinate
the arrival of buses and greet teachers and students.
Volunteers will assist teachers and students onto buses as they depart from Safety Expo and help with cleaning up/taking down at the end of the day.
This volunteer is responsible for monitoring the Reflection Table and the Lunch Zones (see map of the atrium) in the Municipal Building where exhibits are located.
Volunteers in the workshops will help to check off those in attendance, help with seating, introduce and thank presenters and assist presenters as required.
These volunteers are assigned to one particular place in or around the EPCOR Centre in order to direct students and teachers to and from workshop venues.
These volunteers help to direct students to the Dutton Theatre workshop venue. They alternate between outside at the corner of 7th Avenue and Macleod Trail SE on the north side of 7th Avenue and in the +15 by the Police Interpretive Centre.
